We’re basking in the glory of a finished living room. It’s been a little over a month since we sealed the floors and started moving in furniture. Now, the living room and dining room, which were effectively finished co-currently, are functional, usable rooms which feels like a marvelous thing to celebrate. We’ve even had people over! The pictures are posted on our Instagram, but this post is really just to celebrate the usability of those rooms and to let all those in the midst of renovations themselves know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. One day, you can even invite people over and watch a movie on your living room sofa – because you’ll finally have a living room to put a sofa in! We’ve had people eat in dining room which was once so scary I didn’t go in there without shoes. Neither room has holes in the floors, or rat droppings, or junk piled up. They aren’t perfect, or necessarily Pinterest worthy, but they’re ours – And they’re done!
